DOUG BUSSELL PLEADS GUILTY TO OXYCODONE DISTRIBUTION
Limestone man owns Fore-Ever Marked
GREENEVILLE, Tenn--Douglas Jay Bussell, 56, of Limestone, Tennessee, entered a plea of guilty today, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, at Greeneville, to possession with intent to distribute oxycodone. Sentencing has been set for September 27, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., in United States District Court in Greeneville.
Bussell faces a term of twenty years in prison; a $1,000,000 fine; a minimum of three years on supervised release; and $100 special mandatory assessment.
On July 21, 2009, the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction stopped Bussell’s car on Interstate 26 in Unicoi County on a routine traffic stop. The stop yielded hundreds of controlled substances which were illegally obtained, including oxycodone.
On December 8, 2009, a two-count indictment, which included the aforementioned charges, was returned against Bussell by a federal grand jury sitting in Greeneville, Tennessee. This indictment was the result of an ongoing investigation by the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
